With today's feature, you will believe a Vocaloid can take life on its own as an independent content creator! (...kinda...sorta...not really...)

As we've seen in the past decade or so, the use of pre-recorded, synthesized voice banks for song-making purposes has been an overwhelming popular phenomena in Japan, with the Vocaloid  products marking the rise of fame for several indie composers thanks to the sharing capabilites of the World Wide Web. In more recent times, however, certain digital-only characters have actually taken a will of their own and join YouTube's content-creator corral at the same level of actual human people! The one artificial personality who popularized such trend in Japan is also our latest weekly feature's star, no less.

Debuting on YouTube in late November 2016, Kizuna AI (キズナアイ) is a Japanese-speaking digital idol, self-professing as a 'self-aware artificial intelligence' as well as being the world's first "Virtual Youtuber", or V-Tuber in short. Her voice actress' identity concealed to this day, she posts videos in the same style of many other bloggers or Let's Players on the website, with the main flair of presenting herself in the videos in a 2.5D animated apparel, with posture and lip sync coordination that have lead many to believe to be realized through the freeware 3D modeling application MikuMikuDance, for which an official Kizuna AI model was also freely supplied by her producers on Xmas 2016. Between the main 'A.I.Channel', the affiliated 'A.I. Games' and the Chinese-friendly 'A.I.Channel China', this virtual idol has gathered over 4 million subscribers as of 2019's end, leading to Kizuna AI being invited (as an holographic projection) in many a pop culture forays in the last year, from Anime -cons to videogame collaborations (including the mobile gacha game Azur Lane, in this ending year) and even the NHK, as a special interviewer for actors or even Nobel Prize winners!

In July 2018, the pink-clad V-Tuber has dipped her digital toes into the music making scenario, teaming up with South Korean composer Nor in order to deliver Hello, Morning under the upd8 music label. Released on July 15th, the song managed to top both iTunes and Spotify's domestic weekly charts on the first go, warranting a strong-enough warranty to lead to the song's official remix by Pa's Lam System merely 4 months later! As time goes by, Kizuna AI songs have gathered a strong-enough attention to become licensed candidates for music gaming as well, with 4 companies marching aloud: Bandai Namco with Taiko, Sega with Ongeki (link), Marvelous with WACCA (link) and Taito with Groove Coaster, which did not end up getting this particular song (yet). While our series did not get any fancy customizable AI elements like the others, the V-Tuber has made a video of herself playing with her own songs in the arcade, so it's... fair enough, I guess?

With instrumental rhythms that may call back to memory songs like Surf Zapping, Hello, Morning's Oni notechart is definitely not as aggressive, laying down a pure 1/16 challenge with many a repeating note stanza.

A similar tune but with more intricate incrementally-longer cluster sections is sung by the song's Ura Oni notechart, the most recent 8* Ura for the sky-blue-colored genre after Eve's Dramaturgy. If you can keep up the pace, mnemonic skills will drive you to a smooth clear!
